Q - Can I apply for PIPES with a Bachelor’s degree ?
A - Due to the level of competition for places, the PIPES Program can no longer consider applications from graduates with Bachelor’s degrees, even with excellent marks.

Q -  I don’t have any German knowledge. Can I apply for PIPES anyway?
A - Yes, you can. To be admitted, you need only to have either English or German knowledge given your academic qualifications fulfill our admission requirements.

Q - Are there any accommodations ?
A - If you wish, we try to arrange accomodation at a reasonable rent for you as part of our student support service. Right now, we are working on a cooperation with Studentendorf Schlachtensee, a student union offering single appartments and flat-sharing communities.
Please contact your coordinator for detailed informations.

Q - How much are the living costs ?
A - The estimated costs for living and appartment will sum up to a monthly minimum of 600 Euro.

Health Insurance for students under 30 years of age 55 Euro
Food 100-150 Euro

Q - How can I apply for visa ?
A - Visa precedures depend on the country you come from and are quite diverse so we can not give particular hints for visa-application. Please contact your local embassy or your coordinator.
Applicants from China:
The German embassy in Peking has set up a Academic Checking Institution or "Akademische Prüfstelle (APS)". Currently all students have to undergo the checking procedure there.
